Vega Moragona
For more than six decades, generations of growers have tended their vineyards with the same philosophy: respect for the terroir, teamwork and a shared vision of excellence. Today over 300 members continue that tradition, making wines with a character of their own at the heart of the Ribera del Júcar Designation of Origin. Our vineyards sit on deep soils of river stones and poor land that force the vines to yield little but to produce extraordinary grapes. This natural struggle between plant and environment results in fruit of high concentration and great aromatic potential. The dry continental climate, with wide swings in temperature, ripens the grapes slowly, favouring a perfect balance between sugar, acidity and phenolic compounds.
Winemaking with technical rigour and sensitivity
Every harvest is watched over by our technical team from the vineyard to the cellar.
We sort the grapes from the moment they arrive using state-of-the-art analytical technology that lets us decide the best destination for each batch. Our temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks, pneumatic presses and an underground ageing cellar with a controlled microclimate ensure that every wine reaches its fullest expression. We also have our own laboratory and tasting room to guarantee consistency and quality in every bottle. Although the winery has modern facilities and UNE-EN ISO 9001:2015 certification, we have not lost our artisan essence. Our American and French oak barrels lend complexity and structure to our crianza and reserva wines, balancing fruit, spice notes and elegance.
Capacity and commitment
Bodegas La Magdalena works to a clear goal of commitment and high standards, shared by our grower members and by our technical and administrative staff alike.
With a production capacity of up to 60,000 hl and more than 1,520 hectares of vineyard farmed by our members, Vega Moragona combines scale with quality, clearly focused on meeting the needs of both the domestic and international markets.
